Salisbury Steak with Weller Beef

This simple weeknight recipe has all the fixings of a good home cooked meal

Salisbury Steak never tasted so good when using Weller Beef! Pair it with mashed potatoes or Rice



  • 2 Tablespoons of Butter

  • Olive Oil

  • 1-2 Large Onions, Sliced Thin

  • Salt and Pepper

  • 1-2 Pounds of Local Ground Beef (Preferably Weller Beef!)

  • 2 Table Spoons Worcestershire Sauce

  • 1 Large Egg

  • 1/2 Cup Oatmeal

  • 2 Tablespoons of Ketchup

  • 2 Tablespoons Flour

  • 2 Cups Beef Stock


  • Brown onions in oil and butter until caramelized. Remove onions from pan and set aside

  • Combine Beef, Worcestershire Sauce, Egg, Oatmeal and Ketchup together and form 1/2 inch thick patties

  • Cook beef patties until mostly done. Remove from pan and set aside

  • Return onions to pan. Make sure you have several tablespoons of oil left in pan

  • Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of flour over onions and oil and let bubble for a minute

  • Pour in 2 cups of beef stock while stirring to make a gracy

  • Add more stock if needed

  • Return beef patties to pan in the gravy and let simmer till ready to serve

  • Serve over mashed potatoes or rice
